Screen Printing

This project was to promote anti deforestation in local forests and parks. I decided to go with the idea of "TREES ARE HOMES TOO" for animals and other plants, and designed a tree illustration with a house inside it. I screen printed my design onto calico fabric to make my design more natural and to fit in with the theme of saving trees.

EggMag competition

This is my entry for the EggMag competition, i decided to base my work on one of the themes of honey bees and how they help to prevent pollution and create clean air in an urban city. My main inspiration was an artist called Simon Pemberton who uses bright colours and paint brush marks to create movement in his work. I decided to make my work look different from close up and far away, as you look closer to the image there is a more urban feel, but as you look from a far it looks as if the image is a beach with the summery colours.
I did a lot of editing of photoshop by layering illustrations of honey bees and buildings to relate to the subject on the brief on the website.

Waddle waddle

I started by looking at ducks and creating collages using magazines and newspapers.

I then developed some of my own collages by adding a background using acrylic and textures from magazines.

Some work from my personal moleskin sketchbook. :)

Angler Fish Animation

For my animation project, we were given the brief to animate a character in a short animation. I chode to use an angler fish as my character and did some character development through images on the internet. I then chose my favourite drawing of the character and started making moving fish from card and split pins, i also created dark underwater backgrounds as well with sponges and acrylic paint.

I then made a few mood boards with all of my research and scanned in images to send off to Falmouth Uni with some of my other work.
